Provide direct patient care in an Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department setting, including Ambulance Triage, Lobby Triage, and ED Holding areas
Perform and assist with advanced clinical procedures including RSI, Procedure Sedation, Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Chest Tube Set-up/Care, and CPAP/BiPap management
Administer blood and blood products, operate rapid infusers, and manage CRRT/Dialysis as needed
Obtain and interpret 12-Lead EKGs and provide Trach Care and Ventilator management
Deliver Breathing Treatments and manage Cooling/Warming Blanket protocols
Float to different campuses/sister facilities as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Valid RN license – active compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Ability to work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
Familiarity with a 40-bed ED including hallway bed management and high patient volume workflows
Experience with a broad range of emergency procedures including RSI drug administration and CRRT/Dialysis
