Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-volume emergency department, including ambulance triage, lobby triage, and ED holding areas
Perform and assist with advanced clinical procedures including RSI, procedural sedation, chest tube setup and care, CPAP/BiPAP, and tracheostomy care
Administer blood and blood products, operate rapid infusers, and manage cardioversion and defibrillation
Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and support CRRT/dialysis and cooling/warming blanket therapies
Float to different campuses and sister facilities as needed to support staffing requirements
Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Ability to work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler
Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department with both adult and pediatric patient populations
Familiarity with hallway bed management and multi-area triage workflows
Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
