Travel RN – Emergency Department
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
Perform physical care duties including lifting, pushing, and repositioning patients as needed
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or minimum 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility; experience level must be indicated on resume
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
TNCC certification required
NIHSS certification required prior to start date (submissions accepted without, but must be obtained before beginning assignment)
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with trauma and pediatric emergency patients
High-acuity experience in a high-volume environment (200+ patients per day)
Familiarity with EPIC EMR
Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a busy urban trauma environment
