Job Summary: The operating room nurse position is located in Northampton, Massachusetts. The role involves assisting surgeons in the operating room during surgical procedures and requires the candidate to bring their license on the first day. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of diversified peri-operative nursing experience with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating roles. This role requires a graduate of an approved School of Nursing and current licensure as an RN in Massachusetts. The position entails working scheduled shifts and responding to on-call requirements as specified.
Job Details:
Location: Northampton, Massachusetts
Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; ACLS certification; completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN; Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or American Red Cross; five (5) years diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency.
Schedule: Schedule is 4x10s. Call is on call for two days a week from 5p (or from the end of their shift) to 7p, and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 3 weekends. Weekend call is for 24 hours/day.

Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the operating room nurse is responsible for assisting the surgeon in the lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure. The candidate may be circulating at times.
