Job Summary Medical Surgical Float Nurse Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive patient care within a hospital setting, focusing on the adult patient population. The role requires adaptability to various units within the healthcare organization, ensuring quality and efficient patient care delivery in line with established standards of practice.
Job Details
Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Certifications/Licenses: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Skills: Current knowledge and skills appropriate to adult patient care; effective communication skills; sensitivity to patients' rights and needs; ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing environment
Responsibilities: Obtain and record initial patient assessments; develop and implement individualized care plans; reassess patient progress; perform point-of-care testing; participate in discharge planning and patient education; coordinate unit activities and delegate tasks; promote positive work environment; ensure patient safety and confidentiality; assist with special projects and adhere to organizational policies
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members; flexibility in work schedule; proactive attitude toward professional development
