Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will be part of a float pool, meaning you will be assigned to various units as needed. This role involves a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights, with a commitment to work every other weekend and on holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across multiple units as assigned.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any significant changes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Work a schedule that may include a combination of three 8-hour shifts and one 12-hour shift in a given week.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• A minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA are mandatory.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with web-based applications and EMR systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a teaching hospital.
• Specialty area expertise is preferred.
• Experience in a Level I trauma setting is a strong advantage.

Weekday orientation sessions occur weekly, typically on Mondays, excluding holidays. Please be prepared for potential parking fees and consider using public transportation options.
