Travel Nurse RN - Home Health - $2,345 per week in San Diego, CA

The schedule is Monday to Friday, with one weekend a month required. The weekly schedule will be adjusted accordingly during weeks with weekend shifts. The average number of patients per day is 5 to 7. The primary focus will be on geriatric home health cases. Experience in home health is required, and first-timers are welcome to apply. There is no on-call requirement for this position. The territory covered includes a 50-mile radius from the office. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate between patient homes. Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate. Candidates with pending licenses are not accepted. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically HCHB, is required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with community hospital or LTAC settings is also preferred. Essential skills include admission assessments, clinical assessment documentation, and coordination of services. Nursing responsibilities include discharge planning, home infusion, infection control precautions, and administering oxygen safety. A thorough understanding of pediatric care, overseeing vital signs, OASIS, and documentation for recertification is necessary. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong skills in routine visits, significant changes in patient conditions, and initiating and maintaining IVs.
