Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our ICU Medical team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided in the EPIC system.
• Utilize the Omnicell medication system for accurate medication management.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Float to other units and nearby facilities as needed based on unit requirements.

Patient Diagnoses

• Sepsis
• Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)
• Stroke
• Acute Respiratory Distress/Failure
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Post Cardiac Arrest
• Electrolyte imbalances

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Prior experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
• First-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience.

Schedule

This position requires 3x12 hour day shifts with weekend coverage every other weekend, subject to unit needs.
