Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Level II ICU in Geneva, New York

Join a Level II ICU in Geneva, NY, as a travel ICU Registered Nurse and provide critical care across the lifespan. This New York travel nursing assignment offers rotating 12-hour shifts, a collaborative team, and the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population in the scenic Finger Lakes region.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Location: Geneva, New York
• Healthcare Setting: On-site Level II Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: February 20, 2027
• Assignment Length: Approximately 18 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour shifts
• Shift: Rotating days and nights, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Scheduling Requirements: Variable scheduling as needed, every other weekend, holiday coverage, and two on-call shifts per four-week period

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license
• At least 1 year of registered nursing experience in an acute-care or ICU setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the AHA/RQI system
• Current NIHSS certification
• Basic Coronary Care certification completed within six months of hire
• CPI certification completed within 90 days of hire
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to provide age-appropriate care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Excellent communication, organization, computer literacy, and teamwork skills
• Ability to protect confidential information and manage multiple priorities professionally
• Preferred: Emergency Nurses Association certification and TNCC certification within two years of hire

Travel ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to critically ill patients in a Level II ICU
• Assess patient conditions, interpret clinical data, and implement individualized plans of care
• Monitor patients closely, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Deliver age-appropriate nursing care based on the developmental and clinical needs of each patient
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote patient safety, dignity, respect, and well-being
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Support a professional, healing environment through effective communication and role modeling
• Participate in scheduled weekend, holiday, rotating, and on-call coverage
