Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse position is located in Silverdale, Washington. The role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with complex medical conditions in a hospital setting. The position offers day shifts with a focus on delivering expert nursing care aligned with facility protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 08/17/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Washington State license or Compact license, driver's license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years experience in ICU.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a CRRN (Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse) or PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse) is preferred but not required.
  • Unit Details: Medical ICU/Progressive Care Unit, float of beds, patient ratios 1:1, 1:2 for ICU level acuity, 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity; common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, COVID-19, pneumonia, CRRT, Arctic Sun for post-cardiac arrest patients, overflow from cath lab, post-surgical patients, and support for impella, Swans, and IABP devices.
  • Additional Information: ICU staff are responsible for managing all ICU drips, sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics. Nurse aides with a 1:8 ratio may be pulled for sitters, and 1:10 at night. In-house 24/7 intensivist, hospitalist, RT, and pharmacy support are available. Critical care monitors are used, with ICU nurses interpreting strips and monitoring equipment. The unit requires self-scheduling with built-in rotation for weekends and holidays. Floating between floors and to the Emergency Department is possible based on unit demands. Epic electronic medical record system training/test-out options are available for experienced candidates.
  • Additional Notes: Candidates should have a flexible, team-oriented attitude. The position involves working collaboratively in a high-acuity environment with rotating shifts and float responsibilities.
