Clinical responsibilities include cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent/trach and bipap management, invasive line management, placement and care of ostomy and drains, chest tubes, lumbar drains, IV medication titration. Support on the unit includes 4 patient Care Assistants (CNA with specialized certification), a free charge RN, a flexible RN, Health Unit Coordinator, and 24/7 telemetry monitoring with STAT RN, RT, hospitalist, and intensivist onsite.
