Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
GENERAL INFORMATION

- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
- Special Skills/Experience Required: 2+ years
UNIT SPECIFICS- Number of Beds: 16
- Estimated Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Unit Staffing: Assignments based on acuity and skills
- Equipment:
- ICU ventilators
- NxStage
- Arctic Sun
- Client Cardiac Output Monitor
- Other standard ICU equipment
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Flexible; schedule posted one month in advance
- Floating Policy: As needed
HOSPITAL SPECIFICS CERTIFICATIONS:
HIRING PROFILE MUST HAVE:
- 2 years of ICU experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH Certification
PREFERRED / ADVANCED SKILLS:
- CRRT
- Hypothermia protocol
- Meditech experience preferred
SPECIALTY / UNIT CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED- Active Texas RN license
- Temporary licenses will not be accepted
PROCEDURES PERFORMED ON UNIT- Central line placements
- Bedside thoracentesis
- Dialysis catheter placements
- Cardioversions
- Intubations
- Other ICU procedures
PATIENT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED- Surgical patient population
- Oncology experience especially preferred
DRESS CODE RN SCRUB COLOR:
NAIL POLICY:
- Nails must be clean and healthy
- No artificial nails, gel, NextGen, etc.
HAIR:
- Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Hair must be pulled back if shoulder-length or longer when working in the lab
TATTOOS:
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Body art that cannot be covered daily will be addressed individually
PIERCINGS:
- Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited
- Includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.
