Must-Have:
Strong neuro critical care experience
Ventilator management
IV drip titration
Telemetry monitoring
Conscious sedation
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
Emergency response and critical care management
Description:
The position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.
Candidates will work three 12-hour shifts per week.
Floating to stepdown and medical-surgical units, as well as the emergency department, is required.
Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays within the contract.
A typical patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:3.
Strong neuro experience is required, including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke management.
Candidates with strong backgrounds in critical care but with less than three years of experience may be considered.
Prior travel experience is preferred.
All candidates must have proficiency in Epic.
Candidates with any license or background issues will not be considered.
Local candidates within 50 miles are ineligible for this position.
Candidates must indicate any requested time off.
Candidates must be prepared to complete pre-employment testing, including EKG testing.
The role may require management of patients with complex medical issues ranging from neurosurgical to respiratory failure.
An interdisciplinary support team is available for additional patient care assistance.
This position entails providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment and responding to emergencies swiftly.
