Description:
Critical care float pool for critical care units.
Responsibilities include providing high-level nursing care to critically ill patients.
The critical care float pool encompasses various specialties including surgical, medical, cardiac, and oncology intensive care units.
Experience with trauma, surgical complications, and complex medical management is essential.
Preferred applicants will have flexible scheduling options.
Weekend work is required, including both Saturday and Sunday.
If a holiday occurs during the assignment period, candidates may be scheduled to work.
Candidates must have experience with various critical care procedures and management protocols.
Must demonstrate proficiency in managing acute patient conditions and complex medical needs.
The role requires effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
A strong understanding of critical care equipment and monitoring systems is necessary.
Candidates should have experience in high-acuity environments and familiarity with electronic charting systems.
All critical care staff must adhere to infection prevention protocols and safety regulations.
The position involves direct patient care, IV management, and administration of medications as required.
Candidates will be subject to floating based on facility needs.
All applicants must meet certification requirements established for the role.
Specialized training in stroke education is an important aspect of this position.
Candidates must have experience in critical care within the last year.
Availability for the entirety of the contract duration is crucial.
