TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74127!

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar size and acuity ICU - Traveler experience required Description: Travelers must be team players. Friendly and approachable behavior is essential. Willingness to be the first to float is required. Attendance policy includes consequences for tardiness and no-call/no-show incidents. The unit has 33 beds. The patient population includes respiratory failure, post-code situations, open heart recovery (no travelers), carotid procedures, vascular surgeries, GI bleeds, overdoses, and CVA with TPA. An intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, and SLED care types are included. No trauma or hemorrhagic strokes are managed. Ratios vary from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity. When floating to telemetry, the ratio is 1:5. There are no monitor techs; nurses are responsible for EKG monitoring and interpretation. Weekend requirements include 2 weekends per month. Holiday work may be required as needed. Black scrubs are the designated attire for the unit. Charting is done using the EMR system. The unit promotes teamwork and a cooperative atmosphere.
