TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74127!

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - EPIC experience within the last year - Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience - Must be comfortable with titrating drips Description: The ICU unit consists of 23 beds. Nurse to patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. Common diagnoses include high acuity mixed Medical-Surgical and Thoracic/Cardiovascular ICU patients, such as respiratory failure, ARDS, CHF, COPD, post STEMI, post arrest, post surgical, CABG, carotid, DKA, GI bleed, overdose, ETOH withdrawal, CVA with or without TNK, and renal failure. No trauma or hemorrhagic strokes or neurosurgery cases are accepted. Traveling nurses may be assigned complex tasks such as IABP, Impella, CRRT, or open heart recovery if competency is established and verified. Nurses are required to titrate drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, insulin, and heparin. Charge nurses have no patient assignments. There is a dedicated ICU internal medicine team available 24/7. Respiratory therapy is present in the ICU around the clock. The unit utilizes Nihon Koden monitors, and nurses are responsible for EKG monitoring, interpretation, and chart documentation. Shifts are scheduled through an application, and staff will fill gaps based on unit needs. There is a minimum requirement of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule block. Travelers will work holidays based on unit needs, with no holiday time off approved. There is no call or standby requirement for this position. Floating is required, and travelers are prioritized for floating. Professional relationships among physicians, staff, students, and instructors are expected to be encouraging and respectful. All clinicians must clock in and out of the facility. Support staff is available 24/7 but not dedicated to the ICU. Nurses are expected to draw their own labs and perform EKGs.
