Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Flexible on days, must be available every other weekend Hours per Shift: 0645 - 1915 Experience: Zero (0) - six (6) months of related experience, with a preference for 2+ years of experience License: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic Documentation Willingness to float Description: The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizes the nursing process in caring for assigned patients. Completes assessment and individualizes plan of care within established guidelines. Carries out nursing care with consideration for cultural and psychosocial factors. Organizes, prioritizes, and performs nursing skills appropriate for the patient population. Anticipates patient and unit needs. Demonstrates a sound knowledge base in the bio-psychosocial model. Delegates and communicates effectively and appropriately. Demonstrates professional judgment in response to changing patient and unit situations. Documents the nursing process and care accurately and legibly. Records data concisely, consistently, and accurately. Utilizes correct medical terminology and abbreviations. Addresses problems and progress toward outcomes according to policy. Facilitates patient teaching for discharge. Makes timely and appropriate referrals. Utilizes resources in planning and presenting patient education. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate. Supports unit and hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities. Attends mandatory in-services and meets educational standards. Accurately completes variance reports. Exercises independent judgment in planning operations and making minor decisions. Works directly with patients and customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
