This is your chance to thrive in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional care. **Position Details:** - **Unit:** Medical Intermediate Care Unit - **Shifts:** 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - **Duration:** 13 Weeks **Unit Highlights:** - **Number of Beds:** 19 - **Staffing:** - Day Shift: 1 Charge RN & 6 RNs - Night Shift: 1 Charge RN & 6 RNs - **Patient Ratios:** 3:1 - **Type of Equipment:** - Bedside monitors - Alaris IV pumps - Heated humidity high flow O2 - BiPAP - Chest tubes - Tracheostomy care - Kangaroo feeding pumps - Gastric tubes - Surgical drains - **EMR:** EPIC **Qualifications:** - **Must Have:** - Minimum 1 year of step-down ICU/IMC/PCU experience - Minimum 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience - **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with trach patients needing continuous BiPAP/long-term vent support - Proficient in titratable drips: dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, cardene, ketamine, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone - Familiarity with CIWA assessments and alcohol/drug withdrawal treatment **Typical Procedures:** - Emergent cardioversion - Moderate sedation procedures conducted in a designated area **Ideal Candidate:** - Positive and team-focused - Adaptable to rapidly changing acuity - Thrives in a busy, fast-paced unit **Required Certifications:** - ACLS - BLS - NIH-SS **Additional Information:** - **Floating Areas:** Cardiac surgery IMC, med-tele, med-surg, ortho-neuro - **Dress Code:** Navy blue scrubs - **Policies:** - Physical assessments, intake, and output every 4 hours - Hourly safety rounds - Every two hours positioning and ADLs as needed - Mandatory bedside handoff **Schedule:** - Every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/month) - Delayed start utilized if census is low Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
