Description:
Looking for a team player with a flexible mindset.
This role involves caring for ICU patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, COVID-19, pneumonia, and post-surgical patients needing extended recovery.
Ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU level acuity, and 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity.
RNs are required to manage titratable and set rate drips, including sedation and vasoactive medications.
Charge and resource nurses are present on every shift.
Nurse aides are available with a ratio of 1 CNA for every 8 patients.
Clientist or intensivist services are available 24/7.
Dedicated respiratory therapists are present in the unit around the clock.
RNs are responsible for monitoring and interpreting their own telemetry strips.
Self-scheduling is employed, and weekend work is a high need.
Trained candidates may float between floors or to other departments for patient care as necessary.
Professional attire is expected in scrubs.
Candidates should be prepared for a comprehensive orientation program.
