Description:
This position involves working in an intensive care unit.
The unit has a total of 14 beds.
There are typically 8 RNs scheduled per shift.
The patient-to-nurse ratios are 2:1 or 1:1.
Staff on the night shift includes the same number of RNs as the day shift.
The unit is equipped with Alaris IV pumps.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is essential.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion.
Preferred experience includes one year of recovering open heart surgeries within 12 hours post-operation.
The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
Weekend and on-call requirements may apply.
Traveling staff may float to other departments if the unit is overstaffed.
