Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Surgical ICU with a 1:2 patient ratio, with assignments based on acuity and skills
• Operate and monitor all ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Assist with and support bedside procedures including central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Care for a surgical patient population with an emphasis on oncology patients
• Adhere to flexible scheduling requirements with schedules posted at least one month in advance; float to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocols
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• CCRN certification preferred
• Surgical and/or oncology patient population experience
