Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Greenwood Village, CO

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite | Float Role within 60-Mile Zone

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across combination ICU settings including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU environments, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 dependent on acuity
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, and additional vasoactive medications
• Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and administer breathing treatments in collaboration with respiratory therapy
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips; no monitor technician support is available on unit
• Float between multiple facilities within the assigned 60-mile zone based on scheduling needs, which may be communicated 1–2 hours prior to shift start under a Just-In-Time scheduling model
• May be asked to float to other acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and Med-Surg Telemetry units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated ability to titrate all critical care drips independently
• Ability and willingness to float throughout the full 60-mile zone radius regardless of personal housing location
• Must be available in-state for the full week of orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers must have 3 or more years of ICU experience
• Epic EMR experience preferred, and required for first-time travelers
• Experience caring for high-acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, or Impella support
