Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care in Greenwood Village, CO

Registered Nurse – ICU Float (Travel Contract)

Denver Metro Zone, Colorado (Floating role covering facilities within a 60-mile radius of Denver city center, including locations in Lakewood, CO; Longmont, CO; and Westminster, CO)

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite | Float/Travel Role

• Provide direct patient care across combination ICU settings including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU environments, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 dependent on acuity (up to 1:3 flex)
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, and additional vasoactive medications as required
• Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and administer breathing treatments; support respiratory needs in collaboration with RT staff
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips without the support of a monitor technician
• Float between multiple facilities within the designated 60-mile zone based on scheduling needs, including potential Just-In-Time (JIT) assignments with 1–2 hours notice before shift start
• Adapt to floating across acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry as needed

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers must have 3+ years of ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated ability to titrate all critical care drips independently
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac telemetry independently
• Must be able to obtain housing within a feasible distance to float throughout the full 60-mile zone; valid driver's license required

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred, and required for first-time travelers
• Familiarity with high-acuity interventions such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella management

• Gain diverse critical care experience across multiple ICU specialties and facility types within a dynamic regional float zone
• Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance, offering visibility and planning flexibility for travel clinicians
