Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (0700–1930 and 1900–0730) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical ICU setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for higher acuity patients
  • Manage and titrate a wide range of ICU drips including propofol, precedex, vasopressors, and others
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently for assigned patients
  • Care for patients with diagnoses including respiratory failure, stroke, neurological conditions, GI disorders, and cardiac conditions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including pulmonologists, residents, and respiratory therapy available 24/7
  • Float to like units or serve as a patient observer within the facility as needed per staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Current RN licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience plus at least 1 year of travel nursing experience
  • Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
  • Competency in independent cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Ability to manage and titrate multiple simultaneous drips including vasopressors and sedation agents
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with advanced respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, vapotherm, tracheostomies, and nitric oxide delivery
  • Familiarity with high-acuity neurological and stroke patient populations
  • Flexibility with weekend and holiday scheduling
