Registered Nurse – ICU (Level 3, Nights)
Location
Southampton, NY
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Collect and report critical values to the physician in a timely manner and assess appropriate lab and diagnostic data.
- Document findings of physical assessments, identify abnormal findings, and develop individualized plans of care based on patient need.
- Advocate on behalf of patients and their families while maintaining open communication with nursing management.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and demonstrate a professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, peers, and staff.
- Float to additional units as needed, including CCU and Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Current TNCC certification.
- NIHSS and Moderate Sedation certifications required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Cardiac catheterization experience preferred.
- Comfort and flexibility floating to multiple units including CCU and ED.
