Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Assignment Type: Travel Shift: 3x12 Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 1 year of Stepdown/PCU experience
First-time travelers not accepted
Active Illinois RN License required (Pending license not accepted)
Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
ACLS preferred

Peripheral IV insertion and maintenance
PICC and central line care
Accessing implanted ports
Arterial line management
Blood product administration
Phlebotomy
Heparin protocols
Cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration)
PCA management
Procedural sedation administration
Neurology
Craniotomy
Stroke (CVA)
Pre/Post neurosurgery
Spinal cord injury
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Respiratory
Ventilator care
Chest tube management
CPAP/BiPAP
High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

Unit Details
Will float within scope based on facility needs
No on-call requirement
Every other weekend required
Block scheduling may be discussed with the hiring manager
