Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Travel Contract)

Abilene, TX

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
• Interact professionally with patients and visitors while maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice
• Apply scientific nursing principles to manage a broad range of medical conditions and patient acuity levels
• Float to alternate floors or a secondary campus as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU / IMC / Stepdown or equivalent service line
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification
• Must reside 150 or more miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Altera charting system preferred
