Provide direct patient care across multiple PCU/IMC units covering specialties including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, Ortho, Trauma, ED Observation, Rehab, Bariatrics, and General Surgery, among others
Manage and titrate cardiac drips and other vasoactive/sedative infusions including dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone, ativan, insulin, and heparin
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4 based on patient acuity, caring for an adult and geriatric population
Float to multiple facilities within the assigned zone (up to 60-mile radius) as scheduled, which may include same-day facility assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start
Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapy staff; operate and monitor RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
Adhere to scheduling requirements including 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and potential holiday rotation participation
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
Minimum 2 years of PCU / IMC / Stepdown nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Demonstrated experience managing and titrating cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
Valid driver's license required; must be able to obtain housing that supports floating throughout the full 60-mile zone
Must be physically present in state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior neuro nursing experience strongly preferred
Experience with Epic electronic health records
Comfort and flexibility working across varying acuity levels including ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry
