    Job Title

    Travel RN – Cardiac Med Intermediate (Stepdown) – Nights

    Location

    Saint Louis, MO

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a 32-bed Cardiac Stepdown unit
    • Monitor and manage patients including post-op CABG/valve surgery, thoracotomies, respiratory failure, and chest pain presentations
    • Operate and manage unit-specific equipment including chest tubes, temporary pacemakers, and BiPAPs
    • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
    • Maintain patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
    • Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license eligible for or active in the state of Missouri
    • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Stepdown experience
    • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
    • Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1
    • Availability for full-week day-shift orientation (night shift travelers orient on days)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIHSS certification preferred
    • Experience with EPIC EMR
    • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and contribute to a positive unit culture
