Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, including triage, active labor management, and delivery support
• Deliver Mother-Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care services
• Perform and validate initial newborn assessments as the baby nurse
• Care for Gynecology surgery patients as part of unit responsibilities
• Float to Med/Surg unit when census is low; assist with vitals, medication administration, and patient support as needed
• Collaborate with LPN team members by directing and validating care within RN scope, including EFM evaluations and patient assessments

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, and/or OB nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a small or rural OB/L&D unit
• Comfort with Med/Surg patient care and the ability to float when census requires
• Familiarity with Couplet Care and Newborn Nursery workflows
