- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics / Women’s Health
- Onboarding: Orientation scheduled prior to start
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact RN eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- At least 2 years of high-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- NCC-EFM preferred
- Recent OB, ED, or critical care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetrical environment and float to postpartum when needed
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for laboring, postpartum, and women’s health patients
- Perform ongoing assessments, triage, prioritization, and care planning
- Support mother/fetal dyad care, including fetal monitoring and vaginal exams
- Administer medications safely and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Respond to obstetrical emergencies with calm, effective clinical judgment
- Educate patients and families on breastfeeding, newborn care, discharge planning, and follow-up
- Assist with stabilization and resuscitation of mother and newborn as needed
- Maintain safe, compassionate care while upholding professional standards and unit protocols
