- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
- Interview Required: No
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate required
- Experience with labor and delivery, obstetrical triage, and couplet care preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- COVID-19 vaccination required; no exemptions
- Flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only
- Must provide 2 supervisor references
- Willingness to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility if needed
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring patients and postpartum families
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Support triage, admissions, labor support, delivery recovery, and couplet care
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support efficient unit flow
- Assist with patient education, comfort measures, and family-centered care
- Adapt to changing assignment needs while maintaining high standards of bedside nursing care
