Job Summary:
Specialized Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) department located in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves supporting obstetric patients through various stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care within a fast-paced maternity setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts with 12-hour hours, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district, at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, and certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) in intermediate electronic fetal monitoring.
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic health record system and Fetalink documentation, comfort with managing patient populations including females of childbearing years, pregnant women at 17 weeks gestation, and those requiring scheduled procedures like cesarean sections and external cephalic versions.
  • Responsibilities: Managing admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-operative assessments, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section). Utilizing fetal monitoring equipment and documentation systems efficiently.
