GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Dickson, Tennessee.

Opportunity:

RN - Women's Services

Job Details:

• Charge experience required
• Full-time position requiring 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays
• Work in a LDRP unit with 9 beds, 1 OBED bed, 4 NICU beds, and 1 OR suite
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; couplet care 1:3; newborns 1:1 until stable; NICU 1:3 intermediate care with minimum 2 NICU nurses required in unit at all times
• No unit secretaries or technicians available on unit
• Labor and delivery experience required including ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment
• Experience with shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and other OB emergencies preferred
• Fetal monitoring education and experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) required
• Procedures performed on unit include C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries
• Equipment used includes CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps
• Documentation systems used: Meditech and CPN
• Daily rounding on all patients and SAFETY rounding required
• Floating policy requires staff to float anywhere within the facility if not needed on unit; some staff cross-trained to float between LDRP and NICU
• Pink and/or brown scrubs required per infant security policy
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring training

Facility:

This facility is a Joint Commission certified healthcare organization with designations as a Stroke Center, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II NICU. The Women's Services unit is staffed by a highly experienced team, including several nurses with approximately 30 years of experience serving as resources and preceptors. The LDRP unit provides an excellent environment to gain comprehensive experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal care, with a collaborative team culture focused on quality patient outcomes.
