Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient population includes females of childbearing age from 17 weeks gestation through delivery, including laboring, triage, and scheduled procedures
• Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op care, and vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Scheduled procedures may include C-sections, external cephalic versions, and occasional cerclage
• Utilizes Fetal Monitors along with Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC (no pending licenses accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Cerner EMR experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across the full scope of Labor and Delivery services
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
