Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in the department located in Denver, Colorado. This seasonal travel position requires a skilled registered nurse to support the obstetrics unit during night shifts, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work with experienced staff and utilize advanced technology and procedures in a busy hospital setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; BLS, ACLS, NRP; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FM) or AWHONN certification; Colorado state or compact license
  • Preferred Qualifications: Meditech experience; Postpartum or OR experience; PACU experience
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The unit has 29 beds, 4 operating rooms, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms. Staffing includes 22 RNs, 2-3 clinical support technicians, a charge nurse and a flex nurse during day shifts, and 20 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, a charge nurse, and a flex nurse on night shifts. Typical procedures performed include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, D&C, hysterectomy, postpartum tubal ligation, cerclage placement, and versions. The unit manages high-risk obstetrics and emphasizes a supportive, proactive team environment with access to new equipment and technology.
