Travel L&D / Mother Baby RN — Days

Join a combined Birthing Center and Mother Baby unit with 13 labor beds, two C-section suites, two triage beds, and 14 postpartum beds. The unit averages 170–190 births per month. Typical ratios are 1:2 in L&D and 1:3–4 mother-baby couplets.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of LDRP experience and prior travel experience; first-time travelers are not accepted
• BLS and NRP; intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring preferred
• Able to attend deliveries independently, circulate C-sections, assist with newborn delivery and transition, and care for postpartum mothers and babies
• Comfortable titrating magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin

Schedule: Days, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with holidays rotated among permanent staff. Block scheduling may be arranged when included in the contract. Standby may be assigned with a 45-minute response time.

Unit support: Free charge nurse on both shifts, a surgical tech 24/7, and in-house OB, neonatal, and anesthesia coverage. Epic charting; Centricity Perinatal fetal monitoring. Scrubs and a locker are provided. Travelers work within L&D and Mother Baby/Postpartum, with no NICU or outside-department floating.
