Contract Details
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Contract Length: 18 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Holiday Requirement: Not specified
- Call/Standby: No requirement for travel RNs
- Floating: Travel RNs may float to Postpartum as needed
Unit Information
- L&D Beds: 11
- OR Suites: 2
- Triage Beds: 4
- Postpartum Beds: 25
- Birth Volume: Approximately 220 births per month
- EFM System: Obix
- Ratios: Goal is to follow AWHONN guidelines
- Tele/Monitor Techs: No; RNs read their own strips
- RT Equipment: No vents, CPAP, or BiPAP
Patient Population
Common diagnoses and patient types include:
- Active labor
- Postpartum
- Gestational hypertension
- Gestational diabetes (GDM)
Required Experience & Skills
- Must be able to circulate in the OR
- RNs are required to titrate drips
- Common titratable/set-rate drips:
- Pitocin
- Magnesium Sulfate
- Insulin
Certifications
- NRP
- BLS
- ACLS
Staffing & Support
- Charge Nurse and House Supervisor available
- 2 surgical techs on the unit 24/7
- LPNs: 2 on days, 1 on nights
- OB: In-house 24/7
- Neonatologist: In-house 24/7
- Anesthesia: In-house 24/7
Dress Code
- Navy blue scrubs
- Hospital provides jackets and scrubs specifically for L&D nurses
Important Compliance Note
Do not submit any traveler with license hits involving diversion of medications or endangerment. The client will not accept these travelers, and any such hit will result in immediate contract cancellation.
