Job Summary:
Registering as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Seattle, Washington. This role involves working in a high-volume, high-acuity environment supporting maternal and neonatal care. The position requires clinical expertise in obstetrics, including functioning as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and providing continuous newborn care until transfer to postpartum.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand, at least 3-5 years of experience in high-acuity obstetric care, current supervisory references, proof of required certifications including BLS, NRP, ACLS (preferred: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate), 2 years of experience in high acuity environments, and clinical expertise in electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate certifications, experience with Epic electronic fetal monitoring system, and high-risk delivery experience.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in circulating during deliveries, neonatal assessment, eyes and thigh injections, and administer Vit K injections. Exposure to high-risk obstetric procedures such as Cesarean sections, epidurals, and managing postpartum hemorrhage is essential. The facility supports multiple high-volume labor and delivery units, all requiring adherence to established AWHONN guidelines and clinical protocols. Must be flexible to float to sister units supporting postpartum or mother/baby care, and work during holidays with pre-approved time off considered on a case-by-case basis.
