Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $1,804 per week in Dallas, TX

Variable schedule may be required, including weekends and holidays. Call is required: one shift per pay period. Scrubs are provided. The patient ratio during the day is approximately 2 patients. The unit can expect a daily census of 10. The unit includes infants and adults as patient age groups. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Common patient conditions include intrauterine pregnancy over 20 weeks gestation, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk obstetrics. Special procedures performed in the unit include cesarean section and cerclage placement. Special equipment utilized in the unit may include Jada. Skills required include administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, anticoagulation therapy, and lactation support. Experience with high-risk delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and the use of external fetal monitoring is essential. The unit may also involve managing complications like pregnancy-induced hypertension and recovery following cesarean sections. Candidates must maintain current certifications and comply with hospital protocols.
