Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,382 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Title: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required. AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required. Labor triage experience required. Operating room circulator experience for C-sections, tubal ligation, D&C, and vaginal repair required. Experience in newborn resuscitation; attending delivery for low-risk newborns required. Description: The travel RN will work in Labor and Delivery. Unit has 7 beds and requires a minimum staff of 3. Two RNs and one OB Surgical Tech will work day shifts. Two RNs and one OB Surgical Tech will work night shifts. AWHONN acuity staffing ratios will be followed for patient ratios. The unit is equipped with GE and Centricity Perinatal EMR using EPIC. Typical procedures performed include induction of labor, vaginal delivery, C-sections, and tubal ligation. Other procedures include labor triage, antepartum care, D&C, vaginal repair, NST, IUFD management, steroid injections, and external cephalic version. The ideal candidate will be a team player, driven, flexible, honest, and accountable. Floating may occur to assist in patient care tech roles if census is low. Royal blue scrubs will be provided as part of the dress code. Weekends and on-call shifts will be scheduled as needed to meet unit requirements.
