Description:
Must live 50 miles away.
Schedule includes 3 shifts of 12 hours each, rotating between AM and PM.
The patient population includes females of childbearing years, with pregnancies starting from 17 weeks gestation, as well as laboring patients and scheduled procedures such as C-sections and external cephalic versions.
Triage issues are also addressed.
Activities on the unit include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-operative care, and deliveries (both vaginal and Cesarean section).
Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes fetal monitors, as well as Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems.
