Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid compact nursing license required Certifications: BCLS ACLS NRP AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: Experience in high-risk perinatal care Ability to float to postpartum Description: This position involves providing comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care. Candidates must have experience in environments handling 200+ deliveries. Open to applicants with experience in facilities handling 100-200 deliveries. The unit provides high-risk perinatal care with 19 labor and delivery beds. Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. Staffing goals include 1:1 care in labor and 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support. Triage is staffed with skilled nurses. Experience in the administration of medications and support for breastfeeding is required. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and float as necessary. Call duties are not required. Submittals for time off are expected upfront. Candidates may float between nearby facilities as needed. Completion of required modules prior to start and annually is necessary. References covering one year within the last three years are required.
