Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 months Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 (7 PM to 7 AM) Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ALSOB, NRP Must-Have: Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing; 2-3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; ability to work rotating holidays and weekends Description: Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Completes nursing database and care plan with concise and pertinent information and reports findings to physician. Performs nursing procedures and interventions safely, efficiently, and with technical skill. Safely defuses anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. Identifies patient learning needs and provides education. Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of delegation. Effectively utilizes information provided in annual training and follows nurse practice act.
