**Exciting Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery** **Job Description:** - Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit, where your skills and compassion will make a significant impact on patient care. - Evaluate patients and assist physicians in providing exceptional care. - Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care tailored to each patient's needs. - Identify patient needs and prioritize care through thorough assessment and intervention. - Develop and coordinate personalized plans of care for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing assessments. - Perform assessments based on patient problems, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks. - Carry out therapeutic nursing interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Document care according to established standards, taking into account patient acuity and clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and promote innovative care delivery methods. - Deliver patient-centric care, aligning with the professional nursing practice model. - Embrace additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Key Skills and Experience Required:** - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related specialty. - **2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery is mandatory.** - **4+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery is preferred.** - Necessary hard skills: - Phlebotomy and IV insertion - Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - Conducting vaginal exams - Circulating in OR for C-sections - Assisting with instrumental deliveries **Education Requirements:** - Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) - Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) **Certifications and Licensure:** - Required: - BLS (AHA) - NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License or multi-state compact license - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) **Work Schedule:** - Shift: Day shift - Hours Per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - On-Call Requirement: No - Float Requirement: No **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
