Schedule / Job TypeContract | 3×12-Hour Evening Shifts (15:00-03:00) | Every Other Weekend | Floating to Antepartum as Needed
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overall nursing care of Labor and Delivery patients from admission to discharge, applying the principles of the nursing process within established policies and procedures
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection while performing disease prevention and restorative measures
- Respond to medical and environmental emergencies in a timely and competent manner
- Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care as the patient's primary nurse
- Float to Antepartum unit as needed
Required Qualifications- Valid California RN License (must be verifiable via Nursys, uploaded within the last 2 weeks)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS Certification (AHA or ARC)
- NRP Certification
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - AWHONN Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at travel rate; local candidates may be accepted at a local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with antepartum patient populations
- Familiarity with electronic learning and compliance module completion processes
