Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $3,089 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 or 26 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRPS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge Description: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse needed to provide care in a high-risk unit. Candidates must have an active Registered Nurse license for auto offer. Preferred candidates should have charge experience or be willing to train for charge duties. On-call duties are not required; however, weekend shifts are mandated every other weekend. Travelers may be required to float to similar units if necessary. Guaranteed hours are set at 60 hours per two weeks, with potential call-offs for one 12-hour shift. All requests for time off must be submitted in advance and will be approved on an individual basis. Candidates should expect to work during two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Nurses will provide care to patients in a unit with an average of 7 daily deliveries, but can accommodate up to 14 patients with inductions and antepartum care. Average daily patient testing will include the assessment of third-trimester patients and can fluctuate with daily triage needs. Candidates must have the ability to administer various maternal and neonatal procedures as outlined in the skills section. Personal patient care is expected to align with best practices in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate experience with charting systems, specifically Epic, and should be able to meet the required skills for administration of medications and neonatal care.
