Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in high risk, high acuity environments preferred.
License: Active compact license required.
Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
Must-Have:
Must have current supervisory references.
Must pass clinical review.
Must circulate and provide newborn care, including administration of Vitamin K injections and assessments.
Description:
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in high acuity and high pace environments.
High-risk experience is highly preferred, with a minimum of 3 years considered.
Candidate should be prepared for responsibilities that include functioning as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and providing continuous care for newborns until transfer to postpartum.
Candidates are expected to float to postpartum and antepartum areas as needed.
Experience in electronic fetal monitoring is required.
The daily census is approximately 15 patients with around 500-600 deliveries per month.
The facility has 31 beds and 4 operating rooms dedicated to Labor and Delivery.
Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines.
Candidates must have experience working in high-risk and high-volume environments.
Strong knowledge in maternal and newborn nursing care is essential.
Key skills required include assistance with high-risk deliveries and knowledge of newborn assessments.
Candidates will be involved in various patient care activities, including but not limited to prenatal and postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and managing complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension.
This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork as interdisciplinary support services are available, including respiratory and social services.
All candidates must be flexible to meet unit needs, including working weekends and holidays.
Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
