Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $4,043 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Charge Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Alaska

Schedule: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. 13 or 26-week assignment available.

Highlights:

• High-volume Labor & Delivery unit in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility with 407 staffed beds
• High-risk obstetric care with average of 7 deliveries daily, managing up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• 17-bed unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Charge Nurse experience required – this position regularly functions in the Charge Nurse capacity
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• May float to similar units within scope as needed to support facility operations

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted for screening; must have license in hand for final offer)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse experience required (or willing to train into the charge role)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Advanced
• Epic charting experience required
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declination not accepted)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• First-time travelers accepted
