Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $4,087 per week in Anchorage, AK

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 or 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Preferred License: Must have an active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP Must-Have: Charge Nurse experience Description: The role requires experience as a Charge Nurse. This position will regularly involve working in the Charge Nurse capacity. Candidates must possess an active RN license for auto-offer consideration. Working hours will be 3x12 or 4x12 nights. First-time travelers are accepted. On-call duties are not required. Weekends are required every other week. The clinician may float within the scope to meet facility needs if needed. The facility will not accommodate block scheduling. Local candidates will not be accepted. All requests for time off must be included in the initial submission and will be approved on an individual basis. Guaranteed hours are 60 hours per 2 weeks. Travelers may be called off for 1 shift per 2 weeks. Unit Information: This unit handles high-risk labor and delivery cases. It includes OB triage, LDR rooms, and OR suites. The unit averages 7 daily deliveries, with the potential for up to 14 patients. OB triage also accommodates multiple testing patients daily. Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. Special procedures in the unit may include cervical cerclage and cesareans. Staffing and scheduling are self-scheduled. Candidates must be willing to work during major holidays. Travelers can work for a maximum of one calendar year in this assignment. A minimum break of 6 months is required before returning for a new assignment. References are required that cover a minimum of one year within the last three years. Providers may need communication devices to perform assigned duties. Housing options in the area may be limited and should be researched. Modules are completed pre-start and annually and are self-reported.
